Hello JCS and welcome back to a new semester! We will be having our first meeting on Saturday, February 4th @ 6:30 in Chancellors Hall Rm 107. We'll cook curry and maybe watch a movie. If you have a Japanese movie you like, feel free to bring it!

Welcome back to another great year of JCS! We have already kicked off the year with BOB and our first meeting. Our second meeting time will be decided shortly and I will see you all then!

JCS members were interviewed today on WEAU news. Thanks to Jenny You for her report! You can read the article and watch the video here. Also, we got the new wristbands in finally so we will be selling on campus all day tomorrow! Look for us!

JCS officially donated $2150 to the American Red Cross today! Below are pictures of the check. Remember to check the earthquake page for all the current fundraising updates!

JCS Officers have been discussing organizing a fundraiser to raise money for Japan for earthquake relief. This is what we have planned so far... We have picked a design for a silicone wristband that we will buy and sell on campus, classes, and at local businesses. We are also working on a button design. Tentative prices are $2 per wristband and $3 per button. 100% of the profits will go directly to Japan. We hope to raise a lot of money during this fundraiser and have the cooperation of several other organizations on campus!

This is where you come in: we encourage all JCS members to buy a band or button to help support Japan. We could also use volunteers for people to take several bands and sell them to friends, classmates, and family members.
